The Marvel Universe is home to over five thousand of the world's entertainment based characters dating back over the past seventy years. It is where many of the most famous super-beings dwell, including Spider Man, Captain America, Iron Man, Wolverine, and many, many more. Most of these heroes were born onto the pages of comic books and into the hearts and minds of humans around the world. They represent or highest ideals and battle against our darkest fears. They represent hope for mere mortals and strike fear into the hearts of evil villains everywhere . . .
. . . they are Superheroes.

Though these superheroes were born onto the pages of Marvel Comic Books they have transcended their two dimensional paper medium, and come to us in many other forms. From popular television shows such as The Incredible Hulk, to animated series like Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends and Wolverine and the X-Men, they have become archetypes of greatness and human potential for both the young and old alike. But today what may be their most prominent appearances ever are on the silver screen.

AHH, the 1st two movies are the cause of my fear of vampires. I'm over it now but as a child... oh boy. I was SCARED of vampires BECAUSE of blade. Anyway, good review of Marvel comics vs the movies.
Nice and quite thorough review of Marvel movies. Stan Lee had been trying to get Hollywood to see the potential of comic characters on the big screen since the 70's, and he sure was proven correct about their ability to draw an audience. Great review.
